Typical pathogens - Bacteriology & Virology

DioProtection eliminates any kind of bacteria and fungi. It also inactivates numerous viruses. For this purpose DIOP offers a constantly updated list of pathogens which is reviewed and checked by medical specialists for microbiology and infectious epidemiology (Publicly appointed and sworn experts for hospital hygiene).

Desinfektionsfehler können beträchtliche Folgen haben. DioProtection hingegen ist eine absolut sichere Desinfektionsmethode. Mit der Kaltvernebelung werden auch kritische Bereiche zuverlässig behandelt.

Bacteriology - Bacteria and Fungi

Staphylococcus aureus
Most common pathogen in wound infections, but also numerous other infections.

E. coli, Klebsiella sp., Serratia sp., Citrobacter sp., Proteus sp., Enterobacter sp., and others Typical intestinal bacteria.

Staphylococcus epidermidis and Staphylococcus sp.
Typical skin bacteria.

Bacillus sp. (aerobic spore producers)
Apathogenic bacterium. Is often found after disinfection measures.

Streptococcus Sp.

Environmental and skin bacterium, usually with low pathogenicity. However, it can also cause wound infections and other infections.

Enterococci (E. faecalis, E. faecium)
Typical intestinal streptococci, usually with low pathogenicity. Indication of faecal contamination.

Haemolytic streptococci (Group A, B, C, G and F)
Pathogen that causes erysipel, pharyngeal inflammations (including scarlet fever), severe wound infections, and much more.

Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Pseudomonas sp., Acinetobacter sp., Stenotrophomonas maltophilia
Typical bacteria with a preference for moist locations. Occurs in wash basin waste pipes and taps. Pathogen that causes inflammations of the middle ear, wound infections, urinary tract infections.

Candida albicans, Candida sp. among others
Yeast fungi, that also occur in oral and pharyngeal areas and the intestines. Pathogen that causes oral candidosis and skin mycoses. Severe infections in immunocompromised patients.

Influenza Virus
Influenza viruses belong to the family Orthomyxoviridae. They are divided into four different types,  Influenza virus A,B,C and the thogoto virus. Influenza viruses damage the mucosa of the respiratory tract and reduce the body's defenses.

HIV

Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a lentivirus (belongs to the retrovirus family) that causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS).  Infection with HIV occurs by the transfer of bodily fluids such as blood.

Herpes simplex virus (HSV)

also known as Human herpes virus (HHV) are ubiquitous and contagious and belong to the herpes virus family, Herpesviridae, that infect humans.

Enveloped viruses

Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Hepatitis D and GB viruses

Noroviren

Unsere Desinfektionsmittel sind gemäß Europäischer Norm EN 14476:2007-02 wirksam gegen Noroviren geprüft.

Clostridium difficile

Obligat anaerobes, grampostitives Stäbchenbakterium. Häufiger Erreger nosokomialer Infektionen. Ruft häufig heftige Durchfälle und schwere Darmentzündungen hervor.
